I just started on sulfasalazine for my lower back, feet and knee pain.

I was tested for different types of arthritis and x-rayed. My bones are good, but a gene marker showed up that means I inherited arthritis from one of my parents family.

I suspect my mother as she suffered from back pain and they called it osteoarthritis. Mine is called something different but I can't recall the name. I've called back to review the Lab's findings but they haven't returned my call. I don't have Rheumatoid arthritis so that was good to know.

I still have carpel tunnel syndrome which took me to the Dr. in the first place. So we don't know what is causing that. I was also anemic.

Well, that's all I know about the drug so far. I think it is helping, but can't be sure right now.

I have been on the Sulindac for about 3 weeks and so far so good. I have osteoarthritis, and a bulging disc, and allot of back pain and of course joint pain. I saw results immediately but it seems after a while my body needs more. It wears off quicker the longer you take it. Has anyone else had this problem?
