I had a question on monitoring your ovualtion after taking the Clomiphene (Clomid)... are you taking your temps or using an ovulation monitor. If you are using an ovulation monitor what day do you take it?

this one is for Pam, D. you don't need to moitor your ovulation. your provider does everything for you. once you started taking the clomid you called your doctor to let hime know that you have started the meds.which is on the THIRD DAY OF YOUR MENSTRUAL CYCLE THROUGH THE SEVENTH DAY.then your DOC wil schedule you an appointment to do some blood work to make sure that you are ovulating. hes going to tshedule you for an ultrasound also to see how you have been progressing. i hope this will be of some help for you and anyone else on this meds. msoothcriminal.(Brooklyn,N.Y.)

i myself just started taking the this meds in july 2005. i haven't gotten any cyst but i have had some lower abdominal discomfort. ihad found out that i wasn't ovulating and found out that i had five cyst before i started taking the meds, and also my tubes was blocked.but my doctor he operated on me by burning of the cyst and unblock my tubes. i am now ovulating since i have been on the meds for one cycle. istarted on my second cyle tomorrow. august 13th,2005. has long has those cyst are not cancerous you will be fine. one of my coworker in the army she took clomid for two cycles with cyst and all. got pregnant and both her and the baby are doing fine. but now alll of her cyst is gone has she progressess in her pregnancy so there is hope keep your head upi high.all you have to do is pray and ask god to heall you. just believe and through him alll things are possible. bye now got ot go to work. hope this be of some comfort to you all females that are trying thave a family and to the ones that are able to.god bless.take care.

hi, dreph
thanks for getting back to me. as for your friend, who took clomid, while she had cyst got pregnant- that's wonderful. my doctor told that taking clomid, while having cyst would do nothing for me. i hope it clears up in the month of september. it gets kind of frustrating, just waiting. have you look into other alternatives besides clomid?
good luck with your second cycle

Hi everyone
Im sorry to hear that your all having trouble getting pregnant. I used clomid almost three years ago for one cycle. My dr gave me a drug to take for 10 days it induced a period and then on the third day of the period i took the clomid for 5 days. That would be my one and only cycle. 9 mo later I had my twins. Hang in there my girlfriend also used clomid and also had a set of twins. It does work just takes time she did like 7 cycles. Good Luck

I noticed that someone had sent a reply, that said they had taken clomid from day 3 to day 7. I have just started to take clomid, but have been told to take it from day 2 to day 6. does anyone know if this varies from person to person?
Also i am now on my second month, and very wary as after the firdt month, when ovulation was due, after my scan i was in excrutiating pain. Has anyone else had this effect?
