I'm getting mixed advice about when to stop taking sertraline. I was presribed 25 mg/day for the past 2 years in response to a diagnosis of major depression accompanied by anxiety/panic attacks. Is there any evidence to suggest I should keep taking it, even though I don't have symptoms?

I don't want to get into trouble for saying this since I am not a Doctor, but Zoloft caused problems with me and from what I heard, they're talking about pulling it off the market. It caused me to have blackouts and act out at night from what my wife would tell me. I never had anyone tell me I sleptwalk before and I havn't had anyone tell me that since I stopped taking it after probably 2 years. My doctor gave me tons of it for free which was a nice deal since even with prescription insurence, this stuff is expensive to take every day. But I seriouslly believe zoloft messed my body up. I was told that zoloft is simular to the drug known as Extacy. it effects the nerve endings as extacy does only on a much smaller dose. And when I came off of it, it took like months for me to get rid of this annoying electrical shock sensation. I stopped medicating for a while then I was bouncing from one drug to the next. Lexapro helped for a while but It stop working for me after a year or two. I'm now on risperdal and serqual helps me sleep. I have a hard time sleeping because of sleep apnea.
