What exactly are the potential side effects of this drug? I have noticed involuntary muscle twitching. Is it permanent damage?

WHOA let me tell you a HORRIBLE experience.

I was put on Olanzapine/Zyprexa and within 72 hours I was at the ER for muscle spasms and extreme swelling.

My doctor told me he had other patients with the same effects and was taking them off it immediatly.

I'd use it with caution - seek another first is my opinion.

I was on Zyprexa for 18 months, the only downside for me was the weight gain. I gained about a stone and a half which I promptly lost when I came off it.

i would get the twitching checked out, it might be early tardyive diskenisia (not sure if thats the correct spelling) which can be permanent. i took this for about 4 months. the drowsiness took a while for me to get used to, also i was always hungry.
