I am not sure how to do this. I became physically addicted in 1 month. I quit for one day and by the next day I was in the hospital with withdrawals, such as leg spasms, terrible stomach cramps, sweats, nausea, more anxiety. They gave me stuff for my stomach and ran all sorts of tests. I took a friend who swore it could not be the 1 mlg. Ativan that I was taking once per day for 1 month. "NO WAY", she said. They found nothing else wrong with me. Gave me a 1mlg. @ 3:00 a.m. and by 400a.m. all went away again. Now I'm not the sharpest tool in the box but I do think that was withdrawal. Just that qiuck! I am physically addicted to 1mlg. per day and it made my menopause cycle and depression for days after coming home. I sought help through some friends who had been where I am and a new Dr. Now I take responsibility for what I have done but can anyone out there tell me the best way to detox slowly? I am suffering and crying out and having sweats. Thanks
