My son has schizophrenia; he has had several hospitalizations in the last 4 years. Clozaril and Lithium had been pretty effective for the prior 12 years. A nurse/relative said that Clozaril in combo with Abilify has proved helpful for some of her patients. Our son is on 800 mg Clozaril and 900 mg Lithium. The most recent hospitalization removed Zyprexa (20) from that mainstay combo. Any thoughts?

Hi Kadulcha, I understand the tension you are going through. About clozaril and LIthium, I know they are prescribed as good meds for schizophrenia. But dont you think that there are better medications which can help the patient in a more effective way?
