Hi 3 years ago I was told I was deppressed and was put on 300mg of effexor and 25 mg of paxil. these last 3 years I only got worse and worse to the point I was being fired from jobs (High paying careers no less) I would say things to people and do things to people I love that Im embarrassed to admit to today. (nothing illigal) but down right mean and rotten. I snapped into fights at the drop of a dime and I am 36 yrs old...too old for this stuff. But it wouldnt take much. I alienated EVERYONE (family friends I had for 25 yrs ect.) All I have now is a very awesome and patient husband and 2 kids forced to be with me during all this stuff!!! Anyway on July21 I had a major melt down and tried beating up 3 of my best friends in the world, my husband and I slapped the crap out of my daughter like no other! The next morning I admited myself and the doc flipped when he seen I was on what I was on and now I take 150mg of effexor and 60mg's of this Geodon. I LOVE IT...but I do have a couple serious problems Im not sure what to do about. First off I havent ever been so happy and felt this wonderful...ever~! BUT I am not sleeping at night and when I do I CAN NOT get up!!!!!!! later in the day I am getting a little snippy and suddenly asked (you taken your meds?) which I had! I also have found ( like tonight) I do have more patience BUT I will still get to the fighting point and my head starts to spin and I shake like I did when I was gonna fight someone before! Any advice out there for the beginner?????????? Please help luckie0703@verizon.net PS they say I am bi polar now too thanks

I have been prescribed a tiny amount of alprazolam (.5mg) to take at night and 1.5mg over the counter melatonin (I cut a 3mg pill in half). Without these I do not sleep. Within an hour of taking these, I am asleep, sleep for 8 hours, and wake without an alarm. Without the melatonin, I wake up within 4-5 hours.
I am not on Geodon yet, just Depakote and Provigil.
