anyone else take cardizem CD? do you have fluid
retention? what do you take for that? I am allergic to sulfa so they will only give me lasix. This lasix wipes me completely out.....i feel yukky...
anyone got anything to add to this. PLEASE.......

I also take the same meds. I just started with fluid retention. as soon as I see my doctor for this problem I will write back to let you know what he has done for me.

I am also on 360 mgs of Cardizam and 400 mgs lopressor.I have alot of fluid retention as well so my doctor prescribed triamterene&HCTZ pills to take once a day.They really help me alot!

My father has recently started taking Felodipine and has extreme swelling in both legs, ankles and feet. I just found out that this is a side affect of takig this drug and plan on talking to the doctor about it soon.

I am not sure if Diltiazem is like what you are on, but it gives me a swollen left ankle. By evening the left ankle is like an orange in size. My right ankle is not affected. The cardiac doctor said this happens with 'zem' drugs.
I find that once-a week massage helps disperse the fluid for a few days. It is an expensive way to solve this, but it does work.
