Hi

I have been living in the usa now for 2 years ..we moved here from UK...loving every minute of it. I had my 3rd baby 12 weeks ago and got the usual panick attacks, anxiety, palpitations and severe mood swings...lucky old me!!!! My dr immediately put me on Zoloft which made my anxiety 100 time worse.....my dr's assistant said that as i was only on it for 2 weeks i could come off cold turkey with no problems....HA...what a total idiot....i had the worse 10 days in the whole of my life with withdrawal symptoms....anyway .....back to Doxepin.....I told the dr i needed something but was so scared of going back on meds again however I was prepared to try a tricyclic anti d as i had success of them before in the UK for post partum depression and panic attacks. So here i am on them......12 days into it...first week on 25mg...slept like a baby with no nightmares etc etc....last night was the first night on 50mg....woke up every 2 hours...strange funny dreams but nothing horrible.....I am now worried that this is going be the case for ever? Or will things improve in a few weeks? I know the full theraputic effect takes approximately 3/4 weeks and I am sure that I will have to go up to at least 75mg to 150mg a night eventually but i really do need to here from people with their success stories about this drug. Zoloft took all my confidence away and I am scared that nothing will work for me.

thanks for your advice and wishing everyone peace and good health.

sharon

My doctor put me on Clorazapate (Tranxene) o or 2 7.5mg 2 or 3 times a day. So far it works pretty good for anxiety with sister having cancer and dying in the last 1 1/2 months. I am on Ambien for sleep. 1/2 or 1 per evening. I only take 1/2 because it works for 7 hurs or more. Works good. Might suggest these to your doctor.

I was on doxephin for my insomnia but found after awhile it didn't help so i went on another one.. I have tried quiet a few due to fibromyalgia but the one that has been consistant is the lexapro.. unfortunately my sex drive is out the window but i can take it with all my other drugs.
