I have had years of sleeping problems My doctor originally prescribed me Ambien which worked very well. It knocked me out for several hours. I slept well and felt rested the next day. My doctor has recently prescribed me Paxil for nervous ticks, and prescribed me Trazadone as well to help me sleep. I found this to be terrible. Trazadone A) did not knock me out, as Ambien did. I felt restless but incredibly tired. I couldn't sleep but something as simple as walking to the bathroom was torture. Even looking as I walked was difficult. I would wake up several times over the night. B) A very long lasting erection. Not painful, but incredibly uncomfortable and, as I often have to use the bathroom at night, made that impossible. C) Incredibly groggy the next day. Sometimes staying in bed until noon. Unable to sleep any more but feeling too groggy to sleep. I eventually force myself out of bed but only to make my way to the living room and vegetate infront of the television most of the day. Unable to concentrate, not really wanting to talk to anyone, and very demotivated. After taking that for a little less than a week I contacted my doctor and she has prescribed me Doxepin as a sleep aid. I am curious if anyone has had negative experiences with Doxepin as a sleep aid.

Since I posted I have taken 25mg and 50mg doses. It did not help sleep at all. I took each dosage around 10 - 10:30 in the evening and was up until 3:30 or 4 with not even a feeling of drowsyness. My doctor has asked me to come in to have a talk. This is the third sleep aid I have taken, she probably wants to tell me to do yoga or something.

I used to be on doxepin which i ordered from http://www.drugdelivery.ca but then it came that it was a very tiring treatment. I used to take about 50mg doses.
It came to me that i was totally dissatisfied with it because of its side effects. how ehen i was on paxil wich i used to buy from bb online pharmacy.com. It not only calmed me but it did give me some good sleep and it seemed to go very swiftly with my body.
don't know why my doctor did change the treatment.
