I often get serious pain at the base of my neck/top of my spine usually after bending over from sewing, beading, cooking, etc... I went to my doctor several years ago and he did not seem to know what it was but prescribed methocarbamol...unfotunately it did not seem to help at all...I even tried taking 2 or 3 at a time but did not feel anything... Since then several people I've described my pain to have said I probably have a pinched nerve... Does this stuff work for anyone? I feel like I'm taking a placebo or chalk pills! I don't feel anything from them!

I have given this drug to many residents and have seen excellent responses. Maybe you have another drug that may be interfereing with the action of this particular drug.

i was in complete agony with the muscles in my back from the base of my spine right up the left side until my DR prescribed METHOCARBAMOL and the differnce they have made is amazing. I still have a bad back but am now able to move around with discomofort so much so i need to be careful to remember that my back is still injured and not worsen it but thanks to these tablets, I am able to function.

Sorry in the previous post i meant to say without discomfortbut these tablets have made the difference from laying down all day to be able to go out, My back is still hurt but these tablets let me get out of the house and function without complaining abouthow bad my back is feeling. i had taken every painkiller without any success but these do what they say they have relaxed the sprained muscle and i am grateful forthem

These pills are useless. First of all I have chronic back pain and mark you're either a schill for this drug company or i don't know what but these pills DO NOTHING TO RELIEVE BACK PAIN or relax your muscles. I've taken effective muscle relaxers LIKE SOMA and this drug does nothing with relaxing muscles. THIS DRUG CAN'T HOLD A CANDLE TO SOMA. It even says in the FDA report that it does not relax skeletal muscles???So what does it do???ItS A DRUG that gives the Dr an excuse not to prescribe NARCOTICS or other "Questionable" substances. Let's get real people... O and Nurse Sam a response like that is EXACTLY why nurse practitioners SHOULD NOT have the authority to prescribe drugs. You have no idea what you're prescribing or how it works. You're doing the Dr's dirty work for them and the Dr.s lovin it just sign off on it!!!You're all morons, and especially when it comes to prescribing the correct drug and dosage! Half the Dr's and nurss i've spoken to SHOULD NOT BE PRACTICING MEDICINE BECAUSE THEY'RE INCOMPETENT AND ARROGANT. . Placebo is right. This pill is worse than a placebo. It's a placebo with dangerous and unknown side effects, not to mention limited clinical trials done in the 50s! Doesn't that make you feel like going out and requesting this drug? Why all of a sudden are Dr's prescribing this crap?

I have had FM/CMP for 20 yrs. I recently started a flare and asked my Dr to try this med. Besides opiates, it is the only med that will take the burn and spasms down to a tolerable level for me. Thank God. *sigh*
