Hi
I've been off Fluoxetine for just over a month now and have been searching on the web for answers to what the effects are when coming off. But I cant find anything that really helps me understand.

An example of one thing that has fueled my curiosity is that I've been going to the gym for a while now, and I just seem to be getting larger! I'm not eating bad...so I'm looking for answers.

Does anybody know of any web sites that may help me?

Thansk

Hello Ruth, I'm afraid I can't help you with your question but I thought I would say hello as I saw that you are from England! I am starting my Prozac tomorrow and would be keen to hear from you regarding your experiences of being on Prozac. My email address id danny.johnson7@hotmail.co.uk

Hi Ruth
Not exactly an answer to your question but it may help! My dad has been on Fluoxentine for 4 yrs and I want him to come of them - don't think they are helping, so I have been reading up on side effects. This type of prozac has what they called half lives, so even when you have stopped taking them they are in your system for upto 5 weeks, so you haven't completely rid your system yet. I reckon 3 months in all to clear the system and recover from with drawal symptoms. You are doing well to stop them. St Johns Wort is suppose to be very good. All the best Dominique

The litriture that comes with fluoxetine tells you not to use St Johns Wort. Really are best speaking to your doc first before using any substitutes.
