I was on another website and it said to consult with your doctor about drinking grapefruit juice while on Trazodne. I started taking it last night, but the information that came with my perscription,nor my doctor said anything about it. Does anyone know about this or has heard this before?

Drinking lots of grapefruit juice inhibits the CYP 3A4 enzyme. Trazodones main path of metabolization is through CYP 3A4. So basically it causes it to stay active in you're body longer, and causes higher levels of it in you're blood.
One glass of GFJ once in awhile is not likely to have this effect on most people, but drinking large amounts, or drinking it regularly is proven too.
GFJ can effect many other drugs too, theres alot of information on it.. just type grapefruit juice into google and most of the top hits are sites describeing its interaction with drugs.
