my doctor recently prescribed me with this med..was formerly on prozac and zopiclone..but felt that if i was on trazodone it would help me sleep..therefore i could stop taking zopiclone..shortly after taking my first dose i felt incredibly sick and was almost to out of it to walk to my bed..i managed to stagger to the bathroom to be sick and then went to bed where i felt uncomfortably drousy..and almost unable to move...on waking up the next morning i felt like i had just woken from a coma..is this a normal reaction when taking this medication..thanks for reading

I was prescribed trazodone, and it works really well, as a matter of fact I stopped taking my Effexor (venlafaxine 75mg twice a day). Trazodone is excellent for me after taking antidepressants for 30 years. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if the combination of prozac & trazodone could make you feel this way...I would try trazodone on its own.
